Evaluation (under editing)

4- The main focus here was to introduce the story to the viewer and give them a rough idea of what is happening. The plot is partly established through the use of quick cuts of the kidnapping/ kidnapper and news reports which follow after, with these we can quickly see that something is wrong. With the presence of news reports it becomes clear that the occurring problem large, which is also noticeable through the presence of reports in other languages . At the end of the sequence the main protagonist is shown looking at her laptop, watching a video the antagonist sent her. From this the audience can guess where the story is going and what may happen as well as what the plot of the story is. From the start of the opening title sequence the music used is already giving of a suspenseful feel as well as also creating a sense of a soon approaching danger, threat and problem from within the audience watching. Evaluation of 'Conscience Revenge' Opening Sequence

Image
1- Brief entry The class has had to make an opening title sequence that's at least  two minutes long. My groups sequence it named 'Conscience Revenge' a psychological horror. The psychological genre can be interesting to the group members,  the characters in this are experiencing psychological problems throughout which is partly be the reason for the sequence's name. Conscience: "a person's moral sense of right and wrong, viewed as acting as a guide to one's behavior." The title was given its name due to what happens in the story, the protagonists sense of morals lead them to commit certain actions as a form of revenge. In the opening sequence the main character, a college student has her best friend kidnapped. The kidnappers send her a video of her friend while threatening to kill her if she fails to comply with the order of handing over her special notebook. The idea was inspired by an anime named 'Death Note an anime series tha...

Story idea research

The main thing that inspired the groups story idea is the anime and manga series, Death Note Death Note is a Japanese manga series that was written by Tsugami Ohba and was illustrated by Takeshi Obata and it originally ran from December 1, 2003 to May 15, 2006 for 12 volumes. Costumes + Props: Edible fake blood

Image
To help make our opening sequence appear more intense, the group decided on incorporating fake blood into it. Although not all films featuring a kidnapping have the hostage being injured, since the main character is being blackmailed with the kidnapping of their friend violence would come into play. Instead of buying fake blood online, it was decided that we make our own fake blood instead using all edible ingredients. "Com Syrup" is not available in the UK, if it was possible to buy it here then the only other way would be to buy it online in which it may not have arrived in time if ordered. Golden syrup will have to be a substitute as the is believed to be the next closest thing. How the final product came out during filming:

Costumes + Props: Making fake bruises with makeup

Image
A fake bruise may be a good idea to be used in our film. The person playing character who gets kidnapped could wear this to help make things appear more realistic.
