The main focus here was to introduce the story to the viewer and give them a rough idea of what is happening. The plot is partly established through the use of quick cuts of the kidnapping/ kidnapper and news reports which follow after, with these we can quickly see that something is wrong. With the presence of news reports it becomes clear that the occurring problem large, which is also noticeable through the presence of reports in other languages. At the end of the sequence the main protagonist is shown looking at her laptop, watching a video the antagonist sent her. From this the audience can guess where the story is going and what may happen as well as what the plot of the story is.
From the start of the opening title sequence the music used is already giving of a suspenseful feel as well as also creating a sense of a soon approaching danger, threat and problem from within the audience watching. At the start of the music used the audience or viewer is in some way

A brief shot of the kidnapping and a kidnapper later help present what type of film this may be and the possible later occurrences. A factor that can challenge the typical conventions of this type of film and its genre and the fact that in the typical action film where a person is kidnapped in is usually somebody such as the main protagonist’s family, wife or child, in these types of films the main protagonist is always a male. It’s not often that the problem occurs with two friends, such as the group’s story idea for the opening title sequence, which can be one thing that challenges the typical conventions of a real media product.

The main thing that inspired the groups story idea is the anime and manga series, Death Note Death Note is a Japanese manga series that was written by Tsugami Ohba and was illustrated by Takeshi Obata and it originally ran from December 1, 2003 to May 15, 2006 for 12 volumes. Later a television anime adaptation aired in Japan from October 3, 2006, to June 26, 2007 and was composed of 37 episodes. The anime was developed by Madhouse and was directed by Tetsuro Araki. Idea Storyboard

This is the storyboard containing the idea for the film, this is the groups first idea so there may also be changes later on to small details or the entire thing. I do have another idea for an opening sequence, so there's a chance I'll look at that later on. If the rest of the group is okay with it there is a chance they might prefer that idea as it may make more sense compared to this one.   The group I am in only has three people, which won't be enough so I will ask some friends if it is possible for them to fill some extra roles.

Earlier sequences mostly revealed the names of important crew members and actors, later sequences now sometimes use them to show part of the upcoming story and set enigmas. Over the years the ones we see today are said to have been built from "se7en" 's title sequence, since Kyle Cooper the creator of the sequence was said to have broken the mould in the creation of the sequence.  The title sequence for Se7en (1995) uses close up shots throughout.
