Colombia Pictures: They are of the distributors of 'Trapped'.

Columbia pictures is an American production company, film studio and distributor that is currently owned by Sony.

Somefilms they have distributed are: Spider Man, Stuart Little 2, Daddy Day Care, Ghost Rider, Ghostbusters (2016)  well known and so on.

The company is one of the larger more well known groups who has distributed a variety of well known and popular films.

Trapped shares the concept of blackmail using a loved one being kidnapped, and the main character using some form of violence to find them(which the groups story is about). Although this is not always the case since the film shares a few ideas, it has a chance being distributed by them. 

If  my groups story was to be distributed they may do so as it seems like the type of film that they'd accept if done right. The groups idea is similar to Trapped which was distributed by them. (There may be others similar as well)

Although some reviews for trapped were negative it received a box office of $13,414,416 which is a decent amount for a film.

Miramax: This is the company who distributed Hostage (2005)

They are an American entertainment company which is known for the production and distribution of  television shows and films. It is currently owned by beIN Media group(Another entertainment company) The group is not as well known as others.

Some films that they have distributed: Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys (a movie from a popular series/franchise), Gnomeo and Juliet and Bridget Jones's Baby. Although the films may not be as well known as others they were still a success and earned some recognition.

If my groups story was to be distributed it could be partly because it's unlikely to be a large success. The company to me looks it distributes films that are not mainstream or guaranteed popularity although some of the films distributed have made a great success.

Netflix: An American entertainment and distribution company, which is currently it's own company. The website is a popular way to watch films online, although not the best it's been growing in popularity.

They are the distributors of Hush (2016) not fully similar to my groups story idea but it does have the aspect of violence like my groups opening sequence.

Examples of films distributed:  Orange Is The New Black, The Crown, Hush and Bloodline.


These companies are good examples of possible distributors. My groups story idea seems like something in which one of these companies may distribute if asked. With these companies doing so there is a chance of if being a success.

Idea Storyboard

This is the storyboard containing the idea for the film, this is the groups first idea so there may also be changes later on to small details or the entire thing. I do have another idea for an opening sequence, so there's a chance I'll look at that later on. If the rest of the group is okay with it there is a chance they might prefer that idea as it may make more sense compared to this one.   The group I am in only has three people, which won't be enough so I will ask some friends if it is possible for them to fill some extra roles.

Film: Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol (2011) Genre: Action, Thriller, Adventure, Spy Film: The Man with the Golden Arm (1955) Genre: Drama (song, visuals) Title sequences gone far in the way they have been presented. Earlier sequences mostly revealed the names of important crew members and actors, later sequences now sometimes use them to show part of the upcoming story and set enigmas. Over the years the ones we see today are said to have been built from "se7en" 's title sequence, since Kyle Cooper the creator of the sequence was said to have broken the mould in the creation of the sequence.  The title sequence for Se7en (1995) uses close up shots throughout. Hostage (2005) Genre: Action, Crime, Drama Description: A failed police negotiator turned small-town cop, must save the lives of a family held hostage, which draws him into a much more dangerous situation. This film could be comparable in someway to the groups idea. Our idea is about a person whose friend is kidnapped, the situation is already dangerous but upon deciding to save them things get worse as they are now basically facing the danger head on. Deciding to fight against it in their own way. I haven't watched the film 'Hostage' myself but from the description and the trailer I have been given a rough idea of what happened. The film runs around the failed police negotiator, and it appears that he tries to face the situation in his own way which in turn puts him in a bad situation.
