Description: A failed police negotiator turned small-town cop, must save the lives of a family held hostage, which draws him into a much more dangerous situation.

This film could be comparable in someway to the groups idea. Our idea is about a person whose friend is kidnapped, the situation is already dangerous but upon deciding to save them things get worse as they are now basically facing the danger head on. Deciding to fight against it in their own way.
I haven't watched the film 'Hostage' myself but from the description and the trailer I have been given a rough idea of what happened. The film runs around the failed police negotiator, and it appears that he tries to face the situation in his own way which in turn puts him in a bad situation. It is likely that he will get through it somehow much like the main protagonist of my groups story.







Trapped (2002)
Genre: Action, Crime, Drama
Description: The Jennings' fight for daughters life after she is kidnapped by experienced gangs of thieves.

Another film possibly comparable to my groups story idea, like the main protagonist our story the main protagonist in 'Trapped' is fighting for the sake of her child who was kidnapped by an experienced gang. In my groups story the main protagonist is doing the same in order to find their friend. Judging from the trailer it seems that the main from 'Trapped' is using violence to aid her in the search for her child which is another similar feature to my groups idea.



I think that there are other comparable films I could find, but these are the two that I have found that I found to share similar attributes to the groups story. With them both being about kidnapping and being put into a dangerous situation, and 'Trapped' especially with the use of the main possibly using violence to saved her loved one.

The main thing that inspired the groups story idea is the anime and manga series, Death Note Death Note is a Japanese manga series that was written by Tsugami Ohba and was illustrated by Takeshi Obata and it originally ran from December 1, 2003 to May 15, 2006 for 12 volumes. Idea Storyboard

This is the storyboard containing the idea for the film, this is the groups first idea so there may also be changes later on to small details or the entire thing. I do have another idea for an opening sequence, so there's a chance I'll look at that later on. If the rest of the group is okay with it there is a chance they might prefer that idea as it may make more sense compared to this one.   The group I am in only has three people, which won't be enough so I will ask some friends if it is possible for them to fill some extra roles.
