Group Story idea

  
Brief Summary:

The story is about two collage/university students who are good friends/roommates, one of them is kidnapped by a small terrorist group and used as blackmail material against the main protagonist as they wish to obtain a notebook with unusual powers that the main has possession of.  The book possesses the power to kill anyone's whose name is written inside, which is why the group wants to gain possession of it. The main protagonist is unaware of it's power at first but finds out some time after the group sends her a video of her friend with their message demanding for the book with the friend being part of the blackmail material.  After learning of the books powers they begin to use it as a form of revenge.


Equilibrium-: This would be the two characters attending collage/university and doing what they'd do normally, although the equilibrium was broken from before the actual story.

Disruption: The main protagonists friend is kidnapped whilst walking down the street. They are put in a room and questioned/threatened by their kidnappers.

Recognition of the disruption: The main protagonist receives a video of their friend with the kidnappers. They threaten them by asking for the book or they'll lost their friend if they fail to comply.

Attempt to repair disruption: They learn of the books powers first hand and find out why the group wants it- it kills whoever's name is written inside. Feeling hopeless and worried for their friends safety they begin to use it on the group members and anyone else who gets in their way, as they somehow find out their names and get closer to finding their friend.

Reinstatement of equilibrium;  They eventually find their friend and deal with the last members of the group. After they realise the danger try to get rid of the notebook, and dispose of it but at the same time are unsure because it may fall into the wrong hands if they do so.

This is the storyboard containing the idea for the film, this is the groups first idea so there may also be changes later on to small details or the entire thing. I do have another idea for an opening sequence, so there's a chance I'll look at that later on. If the rest of the group is okay with it there is a chance they might prefer that idea as it may make more sense compared to this one.   The group I am in only has three people, which won't be enough so I will ask some friends if it is possible for them to fill some extra roles.

Film: Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol (2011) Genre: Action, Thriller, Adventure, Spy Film: The Man with the Golden Arm (1955) Genre: Drama (song, visuals) Title sequences gone far in the way they have been presented. Earlier sequences mostly revealed the names of important crew members and actors, later sequences now sometimes use them to show part of the upcoming story and set enigmas. Over the years the ones we see today are said to have been built from "se7en" 's title sequence, since Kyle Cooper the creator of the sequence was said to have broken the mould in the creation of the sequence.  The title sequence for Se7en (1995) uses close up shots throughout. Hostage (2005) Genre: Action, Crime, Drama Description: A failed police negotiator turned small-town cop, must save the lives of a family held hostage, which draws him into a much more dangerous situation. This film could be comparable in someway to the groups idea. Our idea is about a person whose friend is kidnapped, the situation is already dangerous but upon deciding to save them things get worse as they are now basically facing the danger head on. Deciding to fight against it in their own way. I haven't watched the film 'Hostage' myself but from the description and the trailer I have been given a rough idea of what happened. The film runs around the failed police negotiator, and it appears that he tries to face the situation in his own way which in turn puts him in a bad situation.
